5 procedures exist for ordering and payment:
- Official order and payment from the school to the association. This is the simplest procedure for colleagues and the PPC association.
- Order by the teacher and payment by the parents on the payment platform of the association. This system avoids the transfer of money and the use of private accounts. The teacher distributes the books to the students and then checks the follow-up of the payments on the platform from a connection link provided by the association. The use of the platform is flexible and user-friendly, but requires an effort to follow up with parents who are late. In 2022/2023 we had many problems with unpaid books.
- NEW: direct sale to parents. The professor distributes the payment letter. The parent connects to the platform and pays for their book. He then receives the book directly at his home. The teacher no longer has to track payments. There is an additional cost for shipping costs of €4 instead of €7 (the association offers €3).
- Order by the teacher and collection of the money by the teacher. The teacher transfers the money from his/her private account to the association as soon as the collection is completed.
- Other solutions exist in case of blockages. Do not hesitate to come and see us. But this system of direct sale is the best and the cheapest. Traditional distributors ask for up to 52% + VAT discount on the final price which is not sustainable for us.
You can also send us your estimated needs by email to contact@ppcbook.org. The use of the order form is not mandatory. If needed, the association will give you an indicative estimate. If you order books, don't forget to indicate in the list of books distributed to parents: "books provided by the teacher".
The schedule of orders is as follows:
- Before July 15th, please tell us the classes you will have even if you do not have the exact number of students. You can specify the number of students until August 15. It is better to order more books than you think you will need. Ordering more books after the beginning of the school year requires a lot of preparation time (1 hour minimum per package) and is very expensive in terms of shipping costs. We remind you that the teacher is not financially responsible for books left in stock at the school. Only the books distributed are billed to the parents.
- Before the beginning of the school year, please provide us with the names of the classes and teachers to encode the payment platform (if this payment option has been chosen). It is possible to give us the exact number of students after the beginning of the school year.
